At Silent Infusion (silentinfusion.com), we share authentic, artisan loose-leaf teas sourced from exceptional terroirs. We believe in mindful living and the beauty of daily tea rituals. Please read this Food & Health Disclaimer carefully before consuming our products or utilizing the brewing guidelines on our website.
1. FDA Disclaimer (No Medical Claims)
Statements made on this website, in our tea journal, on our product packaging, or through our social media channels have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Our tea products are natural agricultural food products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, illness, or medical condition. The cultural, mindful, and historical aspects of tea discussed across our platforms are for educational, lifestyle, and informational purposes only and must not be construed as medical advice.
2. Dietary & Healthcare Advice
Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider, physician, or certified dietitian before introducing new teas or herbal infusions into your daily routine, especially if you:

  • Are pregnant, attempting to become pregnant, or nursing.
  • Have a pre-existing cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, or metabolic condition.
  • Are currently taking prescription medications (as certain natural tea compounds and polyphenols may interact with pharmaceuticals).
  • Are sensitive to naturally occurring stimulants or tannins.

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical treatment because of something you have read on this website.
3. Natural Caffeine & Individual Sensitivities
All authentic teas derived from the Camellia sinensis plant—including our high mountain oolongs, roasted teas, and specialty harvests—naturally contain caffeine, theanine, and polyphenols.

  • Caffeine Variability: Caffeine levels vary naturally depending on harvest timing, elevation, cultivar, roasting level, and steeping parameters (water temperature, tea-to-water ratio, and infusion duration).
  • Adverse Reactions: Individual reactions to caffeine and tannins vary significantly. Discontinue consumption immediately if you experience adverse effects such as rapid heart rate, insomnia, jitteriness, dizziness, or gastrointestinal discomfort.

4. Agricultural Characteristics & Natural Variations
Our teas are pure, artisan-crafted agricultural products without artificial preservatives, additives, or synthetic flavorings.

  • Batch Variations: Natural differences in leaf shape, aroma, color, taste notes, and liquor clarity are inherent to artisanal tea production and vary by season, elevation, rainfall, and traditional roasting methods.
  • Sediment & Tea Fuzz (Pekoe): The presence of fine natural tea hairs (downy tea fuzz from tender young buds) or minor natural leaf sediment in the bottom of your cup is a normal characteristic of premium hand-picked tea and is safe for consumption.

5. Allergens & Single-Ingredient Statement

  • Our specialty loose-leaf teas consist exclusively of 100% Camellia sinensis leaves, with no added gluten, dairy, nuts, soy, or artificial colors.
  • However, if you have severe botanical allergies or severe food hypersensitivities, please inspect the product carefully and exercise caution before consuming.

6. Preparation & Scalding Safety Warning
Traditional gongfu tea brewing requires high-temperature water (often between 85°C to 100°C / 185°F to 212°F) and fragile teaware made of porcelain, clay, or glass.

  • Burn & Scald Hazards: Exercise extreme care when pouring boiling water and handling hot teapots, gaiwans, and tasting cups. Silent Infusion is not liable for burns, scalds, or injuries resulting from improper handling of hot liquids or overheated teaware.
  • Keep Out of Reach of Children: Keep boiling water, hot teaware, and dry tea leaves away from infants, young children, and pets.

7. Product Storage & Shelf Life
To preserve peak aroma and prevent degradation:

  • Store dry tea leaves in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dark, and dry environment, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and pungent odors.
  • Moisture Warning: Do not consume tea leaves that have been exposed to external moisture, show visible mold, or emit an off/sour odor due to improper home storage.

8. California Proposition 65 Notice
As an agricultural product grown in natural mineral-rich soil, and as purveyors of artisan ceramics made from natural clays and earth minerals, we provide the following notice pursuant to California law:

  • Consuming agricultural food products and handling artisanal ceramic goods may expose you to naturally occurring chemicals recognized by the State of California to cause reproductive harm or other adverse health effects. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/food.
