Grown in Hsinchu, Taiwan and harvested summer 2026, Golden Hour is a Bai Hao oolong shaped by leafhopper damage—a traditional mark of authenticity. Medium roasting brings out longan sweetness, honey, and orchard fruit complexity with smooth, natural woodiness.

Key Details:
- Origin: Hsinchu, Eastern Taiwan (1,000–1,600m)
- Oxidation: 50–60% | Roast: Light-Medium
- Flavor: Longan, honey, stone fruit, warm wood notes

What Makes It Unique:
When leafhoppers feed on leaves, the plant produces aromatic compounds—benzaldehyde and hexenal—that create those signature fruity, honey-like notes. No pesticides. No additives. Just nature and craft.

Brewing (Gongfu Style – Recommended):
Water: 80–85°C | Leaf: 5g per 100ml
Steeps: 50s, 60s, +10s per brew | 6–8 infusions

Mug Brewing — Simple & Everyday:
Steep 3g of tea in 250ml of water at 80–85°C. First steep takes 2 minutes, followed by two 1-minute steeps. No teapot needed — just a mug and hot water.

What to Notice:
First steep reveals immediate fruity aroma and honey sweetness. Middle steeps deepen with wood and spice. Later steeps offer warm, lingering aftertaste with subtle florals. Smooth mouthfeel, traditional oolong character.

Best Enjoyed:
Autumn and winter. Pairs with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, aged cheeses. Excellent aging potential—improves over 12–24 months when stored cool and dry.
